This year, Her Majesty the Queen becomes the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee commemorating her 70 years of service.  

Hertford Heath will be celebrating this with a picnic on the playing field.  This is the ideal location having a landscaped picnic area and children’s playground.  Just bring your own food and drinks and join in the fun.   Tea and coffee will be available.

Children will enjoy a lively afternoon by taking part in a Royal Teddy Bear Hunt in the woods, being transformed into woodland creatures through face painting or joining in the organised agmes.

Thousands of beacons will be lit by communities, charities, and different groups throughout the regions of the UK.

In Hertford Heath, be sure to get along to the Village Green to see the bugler play the ‘Majesty’ fanfare at 9.40pm and see the beacon lit at 9.45pm.
