January comes round and everyone is feeling a bit flat. The excitement of Christmas is over, and its cold and dark outside.
The likelihood is that despite our best efforts we will all have eaten too much and sat around watching too much television.
But don’t worry! There is an answer to the January Blues! On Monday 30th January 2023 starting at 8.30pm at The Village Hall there will our first ever Maypole dancing practice. This short session will be sure to get you pumped up, chase off some of those calories and allow you to turn the heating down at home because you’ll have a nice warm glow when you get back in.
Our aim is to provide a crash course (probably quite appropriate) in a few basic maypole dances in the hands of an experienced tutor. Don’t worry if you haven’t done anything like this before, we will all be starting from the same level and learning together.
The session is free and open to all ages. It would be great if we could have a team of us that sort of know what we’re doing by May so that we can lead the dances and help others to join in on the day
