Village Green
1- 5pm & 7pm
The popular Hertford Heath Summer Fayre returns to the village green for 2022 with a bang! Expect the usual array of stalls and food and drink outlets and maybe a few surprises.
There will be something for everyone with funfair rides and old favourites like tossing the horseshoe, rollerball and coconut shy. And the ever-popular tug of war closes the afternoon session at 5pm.
Music at the Goat
After all the fun of the fayre you can wind down at the Goat and listen to local artists playing live music to suit all tastes. The perfect way to end the day.
Relax with a drink from the outside bar and order food as you discuss who should have won the tug of war and why that six-year-old beat you at roller ball and tossing the horseshoe!
About the day
Your safety
Volunteers from the St John Ambulance will be in attendance during the afternoon.
Every effort will be made to ensure your safety but please take care around the stalls which may be anchored with guy ropes.
Parking
Some of the roads around the village green will be closed and only limited parking is available.

Some parking is available in Downfield Road and will be signposted.

Please note that the car park at The Goat will be closed for the day.
We ask that you park considerately. Please do not block access or park on pavements.
Toilets
Toilets are available at The Goat, Holy Trinity Church and The Mission Room. Facilities are provided free so please help by ensuring that you leave them clean and with no litter.
Litter
The rules are simple here. PLEASE TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME WITH YOU. Due to the high volume of visitors expected at the Fayre, it’s not practical to provide bins.

Petrucci’s provides the finest Artisan Stonebaked pizza from his mobile wood fired oven. Petrucci’s have been serving the Hertford Heath village fete for 11 years and are a firm favourite with families on the day.

The Goat will be open throughout the day as well as providing an additional outside bar for the afternoon. From 7-11pm you can enjoy a drink or some food as you listen to live music on the outside stage.

We are a registered Charity promoting the wellbeing and rescue of dogs from the harsh conditions in Romania. We have a growing number of dogs now in their forever homes, and a significant number in Hertfordshire where our admin base is located.
In addition, since the conflict in Ukraine we are supporting Ukrainian refugees and their families and pets and sending donations to a reception centre in Romania close to the border with Ukraine.

The Gardening and Allotment Club will be selling plants donated by our members, raised from their own homes, gardens and allotments, as well as selling cakes and preserves made by our members. Club committee members will be on hand if you have any questions about the plants on offer and will try to help if you have other general gardening questions. The funds raised will help to support the various activities of the Club during the year.
